Email change of address - easy & FREE

For some reason, folks with an entrepreneurial mindset move around a lot - places, projects, and interests. I guess that’s what gives us the strength and creativity to be entrepreneurs.

As you move around, you accumulate “old” email addresses for a number of reasons - changing email providers, changing Internet service providers, changing clients or jobs, or fleeing SPAM.

Regardless of the reason for the new email address, on a personal level you may not want folks to lose track of you. And, you may have subscribed to a bunch of company’s product mailing lists from product registrations and doing business with them. Try as you’d like, there is just not enough time to make sure that 100 percent of your uses of the old email address are found and changed.

After you send out all your notifications, enter your email address at Return Path ECOA. Yes, that stands for “email change of address.” You can enter all of your old email addresses - for free - and enable people to track you down. You control the interaction and nobody will see your new email address without your permission. If someone enters your old email address at ECOA, you’ll receive a notification by email. It’s up to you whether you want to authorize ECOA to release your new email address.

Some companies participate in ECOA. You can configure ECOA to either automatically provide your new email address to reputable companies or have ECOA send you a notification for each one.

Give ECOA a try. It’s FREE and easy. You can also try to track down friends and peers who have changed their email addresses.

All is well.
